Outdoor Activities and Fishing

TENNIS COURT – Full size, all weather tennis court, ideal for a family tournament or just friendly knockabout. Tennis rackets and balls available to borrow. Book the court for one hour sessions on the day of play only, or take a chance on it being free. During busy periods we allow one session per cottage.

BIKE HIRE – “Mountain style” bikes for adults & children can be hired from Reception for as little as £2 per hour (min 2 hours)/ £12 per day. Helmets & Child set hire free of charge. Stabilisers and tow-along bike available.

During school holiday periods the following activities can be booked at Reception:

FISHING – Fly fishing is available for a small charge on Loch nan Druimnean. We have a boat on the loch exclusively for the use of guests & basic tackle for hire. The loch is situated near the A816, with easy access and parking. Alternatively the walk from Melfort Village, which is only a mile or so, is very pleasant and a great way to see some of the beautiful scenery around Kilmelford. The loch holds a healthy population of wild brown trout, which average around ‘three to the pound’, although they fight like fish twice the size!
